Austin County Girl’s Softball Association (ACGSA) is a fast-pitch softball program that serves Austin and surrounding counties for ages 4 to 18 with the date of birth as of December 31st, 2011.

ACGSA Kicks off Inaugural Fall Season BP&W’s softball fields are alive Monday, Tuesday and Saturday of this past week to the sounds of team cheers, fan screams and 130 girls on 10 teams having a fabulous inaugural Austin County Girls Softball Associations Fall Opening Day!
Monday night The 10 & U Ponytails girls showed great pitching form, hitting and fielding prowess and loud cheers as well. In game action Kwik Kar Knockouts def The Highlights 16-4 and Sonya Brown -Agent Her-Icanes def The Highlights 15-1. Top Hitters of the Night were: Haley Breaux (3-3), Tatum Rowe (2-2), Allie Gonzales (2-2), Katherine Ressler (2-2), Jasmyn Trejo and Kelsye Craft pitched a combined no hitter for the Kwik Kar Knockouts.
Tuesday night the 8 & under Pixie girls took the field as Eagle Lake Panthers def Primary Aire Lightning 18-10 and The TxBa Vipers 18-2.
Saturday Evening the Leagues 12 to 16 yrs old Ladies took the field for Double Header Action as the Austin County Crush taking on Bellville. In Game one Cierra Risinger take the mound for the Crush, Striking out 13 of the 16 batters she faced. Teya Vengas broke up the perfect game in the top of the last inning. The night Cap had Anna Hrachovy picking up the win with six Strike outs. Austin County Crush beat Bellville 8-3 and 7-6.
The fall league is dedicated to the instructional development of solid softball fundamentals with a focus on the proper techniques for pitching, hitting, fielding and throwing as this age group moves from coach pitch to player pitch. The enthusiasm for the league has been evident at every team practice leading to the opening games.

ACGSA taking donations for Wildfire Relief Austin County Girls Softball Association (ACGSA) is taking donations to help our neighboring counties with wildfire relief. We ask all players, parents, and friends to help with donations like, water, Gatorade, non perishable food items (including baby food & formula), batteries, clothing, & shoes. If you or anyone you know can help, please contact a board member or you can drop off at B&PW park Monday & Tuesday between 6-8:30pm as we play our first fall games. We thank you all for your support!

2011 Fall Travel League Information (All Star, Tournament, and Select Teams) ACGSA is pleased to announce the formation of a fall travel league for all age groups and all skill levels. Each age group will be assigned a weekend to play per month and each team signing up will be responsible for hosting or co-hosting a tournament. These tournaments will be exclusive to the members of the Travel League and will be not have an entry fee. Umpire costs will apply (PAP).
We hope to have four weekend tournaments beginning in August and ending in November.
A $200 deposit is required to sign-up and will be refunded to you should you play in all the tournaments. This deposit will be forfeited should you fail to meet your obligations to the travel league (hosting a tournament, showing up for games, negotiating absences in advance of a tournament schedule being issued.)

Stars & Strikes 8U Classic Results Sugarland Express was crowned the champions of the Stars & Strikes 8U Classic Softball Tournament held at this year’s Sealybration. The Express had to come back from a 1st round lose and win five games Sunday to get to the Championship game, where they needed extra innings to beat the Splendora Lady Cats. The Humble Cobras took 3rd while newly crown Houston Metro State Champion Southbelt Stars took 4th. The Tournament attracted the top teams from around the Texas; as many of the teams used this tournament as a warm-up for upcoming National Tournaments.

ACGSA to Host Sealybration Tournament At this years Sealybration Headliners will be headliners Triumph and Bellamy Brothers, But the Greatest Show will be on the Diamond as Fastpitch Softball will take the center stage to showcase the skills of teams from across East Texas.
Spring Season Almost here We’re working towards a sign up date of first part of February. If anyone would like to help better Softball in Austin County, please let us know as we are looking get the Softball rolling.
